Why would YOU Want a Home Based Business?

The answer may seem obvious, but do not be too quick to judge.   Unless you have spent the past 6 months to a year, struggling to make money online, with your own Home based Business, you may be under the illusion that it’s easy to make money on the internet. Trust me it is not.

What so many people choose to ignore is that starting a Home Based Business opportunity, on the internet, is not a simple matter of finding a product, promoting it Worldwide and making a lot of money.  No person no matter how inexperienced would expect to do that in the real world.  But when it comes to the internet there is an assumption that since there is no rent to pay for an office or a shop and no obvious capital to invest, it follows that there is no risk of losing money.

In the real world, no sane person goes into a business without some experience or, at least without a good idea and a solid plan.  They realize they need some capital and they will expect to work for quite some time without showing a profit.  So why do perfectly capable, experienced people expect those rules not to apply for an internet Home Based Business?

On the internet time equals money, and spending a lot of time to learn a lot of new things, which are not known or used in the real world, will be costly, and you should view that as your capital investment. In other words, it will cost you a lot of time to learn a lot of sometimes very complicated new things and that education is what represents your capital investment for your future.  If you do it right it will ultimately provide you with a successful Home Based Business.

The rate of success to failure is about the same on the internet as it is in the real world.  I know that sounds very sobering and it should be.  Going into business is a big decision and it requires a full commitment of both time and resources.   Most of all it requires a lot of research, a lot of study and a really good plan.

Many people refuse to believe that.  They go online with no experience and high expectations.  They fall for a high priced, product that promises automation or new technology. To most people who seek these products, that means quick money for little or no work; probably because that is how these products are advertised. It is a great hook to attract anyone without experience.

An impressive website is usually part of the package. The site will have some exciting, emotion driven graphics and will showcase a professional video, all courtesy of the deal. People, who trust this product enough to buy it, do it because they need to believe in it.  It promises a short cut to getting it all now, without all that stuff everyone says you must learn first.

Its not so difficult to rationalize a big price tag with the thought that, you get what you pay for and that the high price you have to pay for that amazing, technical marvel you are about to buy will be money well spent. But the internet is full of smoke and mirrors.  Things are rarely what they seem.  When you download and unravel you flashy package, the product will be nothing like the picture.

What you have is a product of some kind, which an internet marketer hopes you are going to sell for him so HE can make a lot of money.  He will probably succeed because you will not be the only person looking for a shortcut to the money.  Few, if any of those buyers are likely to make any money.

You will soon realize that your shiny new toy is not so easy to sell.  You will find yourself spending a small fortune on Google ads and eZines, to support some rich internet Guru’s next vacation.  The bit of commissions you have managed to earn might be withheld until you reach certain targets.  So you lose your enthusiasm and move on to the next product.

It is a fact that thousands of people walk this path every day, they spend their money, they max out their credit cards and they leave the internet poorer and wiser.  The odds of success are extremely low because so many people gamble their success on pure luck and that is a commodity in very short supply.

A very few people set out on their quest for that worldwide home based business, with a very different mindset.   They do their research first.  They work out the best way to make money and they find out exactly what they need to learn to be able to do that.  They learn what tools they will need and what kind of advertising they can do cheaply and effectively.  They learn all those difficult skills, they have realized, are essential if they want to make money.  In other words, they have done their homework.

The reason most people choose not to do that is because it takes time and it is frustrating.  Before you can even ask people to teach you something, you need to know what that something is.  You then need to find people, strangers, who are willing to give you their time and knowledge freely.  If you can find those people and get their advice without first paying a small fortune, there’s a good chance that you will succeed with an internet Home Based Business.

You have an even better chance if you can find the right people, the sort of people who will both teach you and help you.  Who are prepared to take you into their exclusive group to help you earn as you learn.  Is there such a group?  Now you are being the cynic, why not find out for yourself?
