Direct marketing is very attractive to many businesses because you are not just sending things out all over the place. You are specifically choosing certain individuals that have been pre-screened or already have shown an interest in your business, product or service. Many customers welcome advertisements on specific items they have an interest in.
It is a very good sales approach to assume that if a person buys a certain product they would like to have more information or choices on that same type of product or similar products in the future. Many businesses have found that it is one marketing approach that can have the best return on the money spent.
