Email reading jobs are usually all structured the same. You will be told that you will get emails daily that when you read them will reward you with pay. You do not find out the real deal, though, until you look a little further into the ‘job’.
The truth is that you will usually either receive emails in your personal inbox or in an email inbox that the company sets for you at their website. You earn a very small amount – usually pennies – for reading each email. Additionally, you have no control over how may emails you receive each day.
Why They Don’t Work
Email reading opportunities will rarely make you much of a profit. That is because that is how they are set up. The company behind the opportunity is making a lot of money from these advertisers who are sending you emails, but they pass little of that on to you.
You earn maybe a couple cents per email. In order to keep your earnings low and their earning high, the company limits the number of emails you get each day. They limit your ability to earn. You may get four or five emails, at most to read each day. With only 2 cents made from each one you can see how long it would take to actually make some good money.
The Bottom Line
The bottom line about reading email opportunities is that there is little money to be made. If you want a real work at home job then this is not the way to go. If you would like an extra couple of hundred dollars every three or so months then it can work for you.
The whole point is that these opportunities rarely are satisfying because you do a lot of work for very little pay. With the company offering you little possibility to make more money you can see how it is a worthless opportunity for someone interested in making money.
The thing you need to know is that no matter how much you are told you can make, chances are you will not make even near that much. The company will send you as few emails as possible. They may also make a large payout so that you have to earn a certain amount before you can even get paid. You are working and working without seeing anything come from it and that is not a way to be successful when working at home.
Reading emails is not a scam, but it is also not a legitimate work at home job. You will be better off trying to find a different opportunity if making money is what you are interested in.
